TITAN Implements Newest Version of Hyperion, allowing Media Service Provider to Continue its Acquisition Strategy and Resultant Explosive Growth!

The Client

The media service provider is the preeminent provider of local content and advertising with a portfolio of products, including community publications, related websites and directories, serving over 200,000 business advertising accounts and reaching over 10 million people on a weekly basis.

 

Business Problem
  • a ten year old version of Hyperion Enterprise, version 4.3
  • Using an outdated publishing group application that had only a small resemblance to the current system and less to the future direction the client was going in
  • Was not using Citrix connection for Retrieve correctly
Business Solution

TITAN developed a three phase strategy to which included upgrading the Hyperion software to the current version, making short-term changes to satisfy unmet reporting needs (largely adding alternate Organization rollups), and rebuilding the application with a new Chart of Accounts.

The New Organization structures provided the capability of performing “apples to apples” management reporting and analysis of new acquired businesses as well as legal reporting (10Q/10K). 

TITAN also designed and built alternative account rollups, populated automatically, to provide total expenses by type e.g. salaries and wages, travel and entertainment, and utilities.  They also reengineered business processes and provided training.
