Surviving after HAL in Oracle EPM

Hyperion Application Link (HAL) is the core data and metadata integration tool for Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Management and Enterprise. If you have implemented Hyperion over the last 5+ years it is likely that you're making use of HAL's functionality. Many companies use it for all of their data load requirements.

But times, under Oracle's ownership, are changing. HAL is no longer being shipped with new versions of Oracle Hyperion software and support for the product will cease completely in June 2010. This means customers who are using HAL will have to look at their options for data integration and start to put these into practice soon.
